A bit about the Cache County Children's Justice Center (CJC)
... The CJC is a homelike facility which
serves children and families who are experiencing the crisis and chaos that
comes with the disclosure of significant physical or sexual abuse of a
child.
The Center is designed to help children feel safe and comfortable so
that they may begin to deal with the difficult and often frightening issues
that surround abuse. The focus and function of the CJC is to reduce the
trauma of the child abuse investigation and help the child feel safe to
reveal the truth.
Fair Trade Shea Butter
Shea butter is always at the top of our list when we formulate a new product
primarily because of its beneficial properties. However, by
including this oil in our products, we also get the added sense of
accomplishment by knowing that we are helping hundreds of women and children at
the same time.
We buy and use only unrefined shea butter from villages in west and central
Africa through which the women are paid fair trade value.
Our shea butter is handcrafted by womens’ collectives in Togo and Ghana using traditional and delicate methods
that preserve the natural healing qualities of this excellent moisturizer. In
its unrefined state, it is chemical- and solvent-free and maintains its
beneficial qualities as compared to a refined shea butter.
Buying unrefined shea butter directly from the African villages and through
women cooperatives contributes to the empowerment of both women and children and
provides funds to enhance their communities. There is much more to know
about this wonderful oil ... click
